Searching Tips

Note: Unless otherwise selected, results are always ordered by the date posted, newest first.

  • When searching for jobs, try to pick out the most important keywords you are looking for in the job description. If too many results are being returned, try to be more specific. E.g. 'mechanical design' instead of 'design'.
  • The wildcard character * (asterisk) means "match any word beginning ..." E.g searching for 'manag*' returns anything beginning 'manag' and would include 'manager', 'managing', 'management', 'managerial' and others. You cannot use an asterisk to prefix a search.
  • You can use the logical operators 'And', 'Or' and 'Not' to include or exclude specific words from your search.
  • 'And' is the default operator - 'mechanical and design' and 'mechanical design' are equivalent and will return any job with BOTH words in the specification.
  • 'Or' will include jobs with the following word in the results. E.g 'design or engineer' will return all jobs containing EITHER word in the specification.
  • 'Not' will exclude the following word. E.g. 'mechanical design not engineer' will return all jobs containing 'mechanical' AND 'design' but EXCLUDE those containing the word 'engineer'.
  • You can search within a specific Industry Sector to be shown jobs matching your keywords in an industry related to you. Similarly, you can broaden your search by choosing the '-- All Sectors --' option.
