Einleitung: Our client is a leading provider of diversified engineering services to the Transportation and Energy markets. They are looking for a Power Conversion Engineer to join their busy team based in Hamburg, Germany.
Beschreibung: Essential Responsibilities • Work with minimal input from engineering to support ScanWind wind turbines • Serve as a liaison between the Engineering team in Greenville/Salem in USA and the Offshore Systems team in Germany • Make minor design changes for any problems found • Travel to sites and other locations within Europe • Support development and implementation of new designs and design improvements for assigned scope of electrical system and components. • Coordinate and implement design and deliverables (concepts, specifications, engineering analysis, drawings, schematics, design layouts, BOM, validation, and documentation), based on Product Specification and customer CTQs. • Work closely with other engineering groups within XXXX to coordinate interfaces between systems and components. • Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers, manufacturing and service during prototype phase.
Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. • 5 years engineering experience in controls and power • 1 year experience in Wind Energy • Knowledge of electrical distribution, power conversion, and circuit protection coordination (Time Current Coordination). • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and German. Desired Characteristics • Experience with power converters • Knowledge of power conversion • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. • Knowledge of wind turbine technologies. • Experience with design tools for electrical design (e.g. e-Plan). • Global mindset - ability to work with teams across cultural boundaries. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills |
