Einleitung: Our client is a successful partner of the automotive industry and is currently looking for Gasoline Calibration Engineer to join their busy team in Santa Oliva (Tarragona), Spain.
Beschreibung: GASOLINE CALIBRATION ENGINEER
Mission
As a member of the PWT department, you will be the responsible for the GAS & GASOLINE engine calibration, supporting the existing PWT team in testing and product development
Responsibilities
- Engine mapping and optimisation. This should include designing tests, results checking and analysis, and optimisation of control parameters for torque, emissions, fuel economy, max cylinder pressures etc. - In vehicle optimisation of emission control systems, including EGR systems. Application of after treatment systems, such as catalyst systems etc. Certification support. - Driveability development, including idle speed control, transient operation, torque structure. - Application of VGT turbo charging systems and their effect on control. - Extreme climate development, including hot / cold climate and high altitude development. - On board diagnostics, including monitor completion, threshold calibration, system validation and certification support.
Requirements
- Working experience: 3 / 5 years in Engine Calibration at OEM or ECU-Supplier - Very good knowledge of Gasoline and Natural Gas combustion - Familiar with Complete Vehicle Development Process and PWT integration - Top class technical knowledge is required, with analytical and creative skills - High level of motivation and recognisable management personality - Innovative, flexible and pro-active and with good communication skills - Recognisable identification with the position and corporate objectives - An attitude and willingness for maintaining relationships with clients. - Team spirit and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment - Willingness to travel
Education
Ideally Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, with a specialisation in automotive engineering
Language skills
- Fluent in English - Spanish is very welcome; fluency in any other language is an asset |
