Einleitung:
Unser Kunde ist ein sehr erfolgreiches Ingenieur-Consulting-Unternehmen in der Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie.

Beschreibung:
During the Routine Operations phases and in the frame of the configuration identification phase, the tasks of the applicant will typically include the creation/modification/deletion and the version tracking of the following configuration items:
- HW items (computers, infrastructure, comms equipments);
- SW items (including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, ...);
- Documentation (including technical, management and Spacecraft/Ground Segment operational procedures).
In support to configuration change control processes, the Configuration Management engineer shall:
- Administer and perform an end-to-end tracking of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs);
- Administer and perform an end-to-end tracking of Engineering Tasks (ETs) and related actions;
- Keep up to date the database recording the mapping of SW items onto HW items;
- Prepare and present Release and Environment Baselines as necessary;
- Act as the Secretary for the Change Review Board and Anomaly Review Board meetings, alternatively with the other OPS Configuration Management team members.
In support to configuration status accounting and auditing processes, the Configuration Management engineer shall:
- Perform Configuration Audits as necessary;
- Issue Configuration Status Accounting Reports as necessary;
- Prepare and present routine reports as necessary.
In support to the Anomaly Reports tracking process, the Configuration Management engineer shall:
- organise and support the administration and tracking of Anomaly/Non Conformance Reports ensuring the timely closure of Anomalies and associated actions;
- support Anomaly Review Board (ARB) meetings in the secretarial aspects, alternatively with the other OPS Configuration Management team members.
In support to application software development or maintenance processes, the Configuration Management engineer shall:
- ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases delivered by external or internal maintenance teams;
- witness and cross-check activities relevant to software installation;
- provide support to the configuration management of source code and data files.
The Configuration Management engineer may occasionally be requested to:
- actively participate in the definition and implementation of the Configuration Management processes document owned by the CM team;
- perform the first level maintenance of the Configuration Management tool
- produce and update CM tool procedures;
- attend technical meetings;
- participate in formal reviews.

Requirements
In addition to having a University degree (Master or equivalent) in Computer Science, the Consultant shall have a minimum of five years practical experience in the field of:
- Configuration Management
- SW development (in Java or C++)
- build, deployment, installation processes on large software-intensive high-availability operational systems.
Sound experience with:
- Configuration Management tools (such as Dimensions or Clearcase)
- Source code control tools (CVS, SubVersion, …)
SW development environments on UNIX
- databases programming (Oracle or Sybase) and SQL
- scripting languages (such as Shell, Python, Perl or Javascript)
- and more generally SW development processes is required.
Practical experience with Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS would be an asset.
The Consultant shall:
- have demonstrated very good communication and team working skills
- be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, in particular when applying the applicable Configuration Management standards.
- be able to work calmly under stress with the minimum of supervision.
Ability to work effectively in English.
Have knowledge of French.
