Einleitung: Our client requires a Deputy Head of Structural Analysis to join their multinational team based in France.
Beschreibung: Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Structural Analysis in their operational and conceptual work
Technical Competencies:
- Extensive experience in detail analysis of strength, stability, and durability of aircraft structure. This experience must be accompanied by strong static classical hand analysis skills including preparing stress analysis document.
- Extensive experience in FEM modelling and static analysis of fuselage, wing, and other aircraft structure components in order to check the strength, stability and integrity.
- Experience in preparing FEM / stress document of aircraft metallic structure. Capability in composite part stress analysis will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of damage tolerance / fracture mechanics, failure criteria, reliability, design allowable development, and design criteria development.
- Ability to define the interpretation and application of regulation related to aircraft loads.
- Ability to evaluate and validate the FEM analysis result.
- Ability to prepare the requirements, and evaluating the result of static test, bird impact test, and any other related test.
- Ability to use empirical data such as ESDU and MILSTAND.
- Familiarity to FAR/JAR 23 & 25 and experience in qualification process with authority.
- Experience in all stages of design and stress analysis from conceptual design, check-stress, and type record compilation.
- A working knowledge of CatiaV4 or V5 would be ideal.
- Experience in Nastran / Patran.
Skills and Attitudes:
- Capability of reviewing work to ensure technical accuracy and of helping junior engineer to solve problems and to find solutions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively work in a team environment is a must.
- Ability to work within Integrated Product Teams.
Education:
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced engineering degree experience is desired.
- Conversational / Fluent English is essential. French is a plus. |
