Einleitung: Our client requires a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their multinational team based in France
Beschreibung: Main Responsibilities:
Ensures the timely concept, design and certification of the aircraft structure such as wing box, control surfaces & mechanism, fuselage sections, others.
Technical Competencies:
- Extensive experience in design layout of A/C structural assembled sections such as wing box, control surfaces & mechanism, empennages, fuselage sections, doors, nacelles & engine mounting, or others.
- Extensive experience in creating conceptual, stressed layouts and production drawings of structural sections, assemblies, subassemblies and parts.
- Experience in aircraft design life cycle (conceptual, preliminary, detail design phase).
- Familiarity with FAR/JAR and aircraft DR&O and experience in work with authority.
- Extensive experience in working with CATIA V4/5 (3D, 2D, & DMU).
- Familiarity to PDM software e.g. enovia and metaphase.
- Ability to perform wing surfacing and kinematics modelling using CATIA V4/5. Ability to develop surface definition for wing & empennage and other geometric definition using CATIA.
- Knowledge of aircraft parts, design definition principle, load path, pre-sizing, static, dynamic, aerodynamic, kinematics, strength of material, fatigue, manufacturing process, material selection, corrosion control, maintenance, safety, cost, and other related design aspects.
- Knowledge of aircraft structure design principles such as fit, form and function, simplicity, commonality, maintainability, light weight, produce-ability, low cost, for Sheet Metal and Machined parts.
- Knowledge of aircraft system to structure interfaces such as fuel system, fuel tank, and flight control system.
Skills and Attitudes:
- Extensive experience in structural design in aircraft development.
- Proven Leadership skills.
- Capability of reviewing work to ensure technical accuracy, and of helping junior designer to solve problems and to find solutions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Education:
- Minimum B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline combined with experience.
- MSc in Engineering is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in English and French is essential. |
