Job Description

Tasks:

Assist with the preparation of certification documentation and conduct certification analysis and testing for the approval of aircraft seating products

  • Prepare weights and loads, test requirement documentation
  • Generate documentation for development and certification testing
  • Prepare and conduct development and certification testing
  • Prepare test and analysis documentation for customer and regulatory approval
  • Liaise with authorities, regulatory bodies, airframe manufacturers and other company departments
  • Support senior certification engineer as required

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Graduate in mechanical/ aeronautical/ structural/ electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of FEE Packages, i.e, Nastran/Patran etc is recommended
  • Knowledge of Stress analysis using FEA or conventional hand calculations
  • Preparation specification and report writing
  • Understanding of FAR/JAR 21 and 25 and EASA’s certification specification
  • Experience of commercial Aircraft interiors certification would be an advantage
  • Experience with preparation test articles, conduct test programmes and organising test facilities
  • Experience of working to regulatory standards and quality procedures within the aerospace industry
  • Project management skills and Ability communicate at departments level
  • Computer literate with MS Office Software
  • no German language skills required
